WHY ARE ROULETTE CHIPS DIFFERENT?
Roulette chips are different from those used on other games. Each Roulette table has its own set of individual chips. When you buy in at the Roulette table - using either cash or chips - you will be given your own colour of Roulette chips. This helps the Dealer to distinguish your bets from those of the other Players.
The value of these chips is determined by you and the Dealer when you buy in at the table. You then exchange your coloured chips for cash chips from the Dealer before you leave the game.
PLACING YOUR BETS
Before setting a new game in motion by spinning the ball around the wheel, the Dealer will announce the commencement of the game by calling “place your bets”.
To do so, simply position your chips on the table layout as illustrated (located in the PDF download at the bottom of the page). Each Player is responsible for correctly placing each of their wagers as each bet will be settled strictly in accordance with its position on the layout when the ball comes to rest.
You may place your bets until the Dealer calls “no more bets” - generally after a few revolutions of the ball around the wheel.
When the ball comes to rest, the Dealer will call out the winning number, and place a marker on it. The table is cleared of losing bets, and then the Winners are paid.
Please do not touch the table layout during this time.
Wait for the Dealer to call “place your bets” again before putting your new chips down. Do not place chips near the winning number until the marker is removed.
PICK A NUMBER, COLOUR, STREET OR CORNER
Just like the Roulette wheel itself, the action and options in this game never stop.
There are so many different ways to bet. For the highest odds, you can place a “straight up” bet on a specific number. You can increase your chances with a variety of combination bets, such as a “street” or “six line”.
For an illustration and explanation of the many different bets in Roulette, please refer to the diagrams (located in the PDF download at the bottom of the page).
ZERO & DOUBLE ZERO – LOWEST NUMBERS
When the ball comes to rest on zero, only bets on zero or any combination bet including zero will win.
When the ball comes to rest on double zero, only bets on double zero or any combination bet including double zero will win.
BETTING LIMITS ON ROULETTE
